Can the Camplux CA360W provide enough hot water for a shower and kitchen sink at the same time?

Yes, the Camplux CA360W is designed to supply hot water for 1 to 3 points of use simultaneously in residential indoor settings. The unit delivers a continuous 3.6 GPM flow with a maximum capability of 4 GPM, supported by 85,300 BTU of heating performance that can reach up to 98,500 BTU. This steady output helps maintain even water delivery across multiple fixtures, preventing the abrupt temperature swings that occur when an undersized heater struggles to split its output.

What are the physical dimensions and weight of the Camplux CA360W?

The Camplux CA360W measures 13.8 x 13.8 x 6.7 inches and weighs 21.2 pounds. Its compact white casing allows for wall mounting in compact utility rooms, cabins, or small home spaces without occupying floor area. Make sure to check the manufacturer manual for required side and vertical clearances before securing the mounting bracket to your wall studs.

How does the CA360W differ from portable outdoor propane water heaters?

The CA360W is built specifically for indoor residential whole-house applications, whereas portable models are intended solely for outdoor recreational use. Portable outdoor units often feature lower outputs and carry handles for camping, while the CA360W mounts permanently indoors, utilizes intelligent gas control, and connects directly to home distribution plumbing. If you need supplemental hot water in an isolated spot where running gas lines is inconvenient, installing an under-sink instant hot water heater can serve a dedicated tap without central plumbing changes.

What gas and water connections need to be verified prior to installation?

You should verify your existing propane line sizing, incoming water pipe diameter, and power outlet requirements directly against the manufacturer documentation. Because plumbing fitting sizes and venting specifications vary across residential tankless models, confirming these details on the product page ensures your gas line can supply the full 85,300 BTU demand without causing pressure drops. Verifying line sizes early also prevents unexpected plumbing rework during setup.

How does incoming groundwater temperature affect the performance of the CA360W?

Colder groundwater requires more energy to heat, which can reduce the total flow rate below the maximum 4 GPM rating during freezing months. The CA360W uses intelligent gas modulation to balance its 85,300 BTU heating output against incoming water temperature, prioritizing steady heat over peak volume. If your installation sits in an unheated utility room or cabin crawl space, pairing the area with a low-wattage space heater can help protect adjacent supply pipes from freezing when temperatures plunge.

Can the Camplux CA360W be installed in an RV or mobile camper?

The CA360W is intended for stationary residential and cabin structures with permanent indoor venting and gas infrastructure, not mobile RV installations. At 21.2 pounds with fixed mounting dimensions of 13.8 x 13.8 x 6.7 inches, it requires stable, code-compliant indoor propane hookups and dedicated exhaust venting. For mobile recreational vehicles, portable outdoor models designed for flexible mounting and quick disconnects are generally better suited.
